I’m Only Wearing Dresses That Feel Like Nightgowns—Here Are 25 of My Favorites

I used to daydream about waking up in the morning, rolling out of bed, and getting right to work in my pajamas. It sounded like the ultimate luxury. But now that I—and a lot of the country—am currently living in my dream world, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t miss getting dressed up for a day of work… at my office… with people. Just to be clear, there’s nothing stopping me from picking—and wearing!—an outfit that doesn’t consist of loose, stretchy pieces except for myself, but honestly, the idea of putting on a pair of jeans is just a little more than my brain can handle right now. The idea of wearing flowy, even shapeless, dresses that resemble nightgowns, though? Now that’s something I fully support. So if you, like me, are getting a little bored of wearing the same ol’ sweatsuits, here are 25 dresses I’m currently eyeing, from trendy and chill to romantic and slinky, that are as cozy as nighties.

The perfect take on elevated sleepwear.

Everyone needs a loose T-shirt dress in their closet, and this one takes the cake.

Equal parts professional and chill, if you ask me.

The perfect throw-on-and-go (to my living room) dress.

This is the ultimate WFH dress, but I can also see myself layering it over a swimsuit (whenever that day comes).

Can’t wait to style this with some sneakers, but for now my slippers will do.

When we’re no longer stuck inside, I’ll layer this cozy piece over a simple tee and jeans.

Just wait—you’ll see me wearing this with cute sandals and a big straw hat once it’s finally safe to be out and about again.

It’s white, long, and billowy—need I say more?

This high ruffle neckline is everything.

The empire waistline is giving off major vintage vibes that I 100% can’t resist.

It’s breezy and romantic.

One of my favorite trends right now is a split neckline with ties, so yeah, this dress has me feeling all sorts of things.

You’ll be seeing a lot of tiered dresses this season.

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t swayed by this cheerful color, but the flowiness is what really did me in.

I’d say this dress is the epitome of spring.

Long, flowy dresses aren’t going anywhere.

You can never have too many black dresses.

If you couldn’t already tell, puff-sleeved dresses are having a moment.

This slip dress is what WFH dreams are made of: a blend of cotton, cashmere, and all things cozy.

The easiest way to elevate a rib-knit dress is to add a side slit and waist tie.

The right balance of cozy and chic.

If you’re feeling really ambitious, this tank dress would look amazing layered over a sheer long-sleeve top. Just sayin’.

Because we all could use a little something slinky and satiny right now.

A ribbed jersey dress with lettuce-edge hem? Yes, please!
